About me
Linda Grant is a novelist and journalist. She won the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2000 and the Lettre Ulysses Prize for Literary Reportage in 2006. She writes for the Guardian, Telegraph and Vogue. I haven't watched that movie in years, but the scene they show where there is a run on the bank and people are saying things like, "My husband hasn't worked in a year," and "I've got doctors' bills I can't pay," are very very familiar to what is happening right now...
