About me
Linda Grant is a novelist and journalist. She won the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2000 and the Lettre Ulysses Prize for Literary Reportage in 2006. She writes for the Guardian, Telegraph and Vogue. Her latest novel, The Clothes on Their Backs was shortlisted for the 2008 Man Booker Prize. Oooooh, that cover is gorgeous. Your dress was also beautiful, and will be a great reminder of your achievement.
I much prefer the US cover to the British version.
Good news. I'll be ordering from my local independent book store. You know how it is: "once a bookseller always a...."
i'm still glad i bought my british edition in stratford two weeks ago. the book is wonderful and i totally identified with the protagonist -- especially her thrift shop days.
wonderful job and i'm glad to see that some american publishers aren't afraid of "foreign" books!
