Thought for the day

Isn't that the problem? That women have been swindled for centuries into substituting adornment for love, fashion (as it were) for passion? Erica Jong

That quote and picture just break my heart

Let's forget we know it's Posh Spice - this is the photo of a woman looking fabulous, if a little thin.

Sorry, dlb, I do not agree - with or without Mrs. Beckham, that is a photograph of a woman who is wearing clothing that fits poorly enough that it slouches down off one shoulder. I don't find her "fabulous" at all.

Er, Toby, as my late mother used to say when defending my teenage outfits to my father: 'That's the fashion.'

Posh looks much better with dark hair.

Sorry, Linda - looking at Mrs. Beckham reminds me of such sartorial "icons" as Brittany Spears and Lindsey Lohan. Perhaps I have lumped her with the wrong crowd (she is, after all, supposedly raising Mrs. Tom Cruise's style), but looking at that makes me feel distinctly grouchy.
