Oh I'll quibble with that comment any day. Fashion is the original Pop Art, it's both high art and low art, and it's always always an expression of social change. Can't think of any other from of art that does that.

P.S. That photo of the Chanel dresses comes from last year's couture fashion exhibit at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts. It was a great show!
