Chag sameach Linda.
Happy Chanukah!
¡Feliz Hanuka!
Thinking of my Jewish-Argentinean friends, who are basking in the summer sun, proud and happy about Juan Gelman's Cervantes Prize, but also remembering...
I like this menorah that is also a living tree: http://www.amia.org.ar/noticias.asp?id=1788 in memory of the (many, many) Jewish victims of the military dictatorship.
Later, there was a horrible anti-Semitic attack on AMIA itself. A good friend of mine was around the corner, having a coffee with a mate. He had survived the Dirty War; his parents had fled the Warsaw Ghetto.
I really like this: http://www.amia.org.ar/images/noticias/Mural%20Desaparecidos.jpg
Notice the roots, and the light.
