Post Mumbai

I am not feeling very much like writing about fashion at the moment.

To all regular readers, I'm sorry for the suspension of this site. My thoughts are absorbed with other things and as the week goes on there is a lot to do.

Do what you need to do. We'll be thinking of you, Harry, his son and girlfriend -- and we'll be here when you get back.

I do hope you can do something to help your friends - that is about the only thing that will help you feel a bit better right now. Even if you can see to their ongoing affairs in London ...

Nothing is more important than caring for those you love. Take as long as you need. Our thoughts are with you all and, as Wendy says, we will still be here.

Take your time, do what you need to do and please try to take some comfort from all the good wishes going your way.

That's certainly understandable. I'm thinking of your friends and sending them best wishes for physical and emotional healing.

Linda, I am sure I speak for all of your regular non-posting readers when I offer you, Harry, Will and Kelly love and best wishes in your horrible situation. We will all be here when you feel like returning.

There are times when the only fashion statement that makes sense is rolling up one's sleeves. Go to it, Linda, and we'll be here when you get back.

Love and blessings to Harry, Will and Kelly.

Do what you need to do to get through this difficult period. We all understand.

I have a friend who is one of those emergency doctors in war-torn places. So the couture scarf discussions got me imagining such a horrible scene, in which an emergency doctor would sacrifice her Hermès scarf - a gift from...? to use as a tourniquet or sling to save lives.

Hope that fashion-literary metaphor can be of some inspiration in what can be done to help your friends, even if your support tasks may seem more mundane.

I will echo everyone else's sentiments here and encourage you to do what you must. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Harry, his son, and his son's girlfriend. I hope they all recover well, and not just physically.

It sickened (and still sickens) me to see these cold-blooded killers taking lives with that crazy sense of self-righteousness. No one has the right to take anyone's life, no matter what anyone believes. By the same token, hate- and warmongering against the perpetrators fueled by anger doesn't do anyone any good either.

I'm so sorry to hear all that has happened.

You (all) are often in my thoughts.

Take care.

While I enjoy reading your blog, I think we can all understand that your family is more important at this time. I wish you all the best, and a speedy recovery for Will.

Any news? Will they be able to bring him home soon?

I am always amazed at how few can cause pain for so many.

Linda - have only just caught up with your recent posts and was so very, very sorry to hear about Harry's son, Will, and Will's girlfriend, Kelly.

Thinking of you all.
