Yes, it really is sad. A great actor, personality (as opposed to celebrity) and stunningly (to my mind achingly) gorgeous. And, it seems, a thoroughly nice man. Check out the NY Times coverage, especially that by Manohla Dargis (great name, don't you think?). He really will be missed.

Hadn't heard. Heart-broken. He was a rare one. Had integrity.
If you say, for example, that you're modelling yourself after George Clooney, you sound like an idiot (no offense to Clooney.)
But if you replace Clooney with Paul Newman...and it makes sense.
