Fun without needles

(Thank you greying pixie)

Some cruel types might observe that the women demonstrating the techniques has a) had botox and b) has either a bad case of rosacea or a heavy hand with the blusher brush

Are her oddly-shaped cheekbones au naturale, or has she had work done?

Here's a yoga position called The Lion Pose: Open eyes as wide as you can, open mouth as wide as you can and stick your tongue out as far as possible. Extend arms and flex fingers. Hold for one minute or until saliva threatens to dribble down your chin.

If you try this at home, close the bedroom door or it may frighten the children. Or end up on YouTube.

Benefits? Neck muscles and facial muscles get some sort of brief workout and toning, I guess.

Well, it can't be bad to start the day laughing I guess, and if you share your bathroom it's fun for the whole family.

This thread has made me dig out a book called 'The Natural Facelift' by Joseph Corvo which is full of these kind of exercises/ entertainment for the family.
I don't know if it's still available.

Well I'm afraid the old 'o ex' is as far as my dignity will allow me to go! It never ceases to raise a smile with the family and keeps the turkey neck at bay - so successful on two fronts. Anything more would be a waste of valuable drinking time!

How often and for how long do you do your o-ex exercises, greying pixie?

geraldine - exactly 60 seconds every day after brushing teeth in the evening.
