Please save your valuable time for writing novels, Linda. Life is too short for such anal behaviour. Perhaps I'm unsympathetic to the whole concept of a scarf, living in the tropics where a sarong is far more relevant.
Whoa...a little too OCD for me.
Yes, we can all use a little bit more organization in our lives, but this is definitely over the top for me. I have a dresser drawer full of my scarves and take great delight in rummaging around in the draw, making 'new' discoveries.
If I could get someone to come round and do it for me, I'd love it.
Too organized for me. Such a system would last until I actually started wearing the scarves, then they'd never go back in the envelopes. She must have a lot of scarves!
Life is too short for this.
I have an equally complicated system for storing nail polish and perfume samples. I've got so many of both that just rummaging doesn't work. When you have as many scarves as she does, it pays to develop an organized system for storing them. You spend an afternoon (or two) getting it set up. Then you can quickly find what you're looking for so it saves time in the end.
Everything I own other than nail polish and perfume is completely disorganized and stashed where ever I could find the room, by the way. It's not my nature to be organized; I just got tired of not being able to find something I knew I had or forgetting I had it in the first place.
The scarves shown in the pictures are all Hermes. This is actually a wonderful idea, as it places the scarves where you can see them without actually opening the boxes, and it makes the required space for storing them protectively less cumbersome. As someone who collects scarves. I am actually grateful to have made this discovery here. Thank you for sharing.
I have a system - I shove them in a drawer: winter ones in the bureau in the hall, for going out; lightweight in one of the under-bed drawers.
