Nope, I think it's the casual 'out of the pants' shirt thing. I'd also like to direct anyone's attention to a recent shot I saw of Steve Wozniak and Kathy ?(comedienne, red hair)at a dressy affair. Steve is the techy guy who actually invented the first Apple computers(Steve Jobs was the marketing genius); he retired to become an elementary school teacher and philanthropist. He's a big guy. As a matter of fact, he's bigger around than Harvey there. He also dresses better and always looks happy and engaged. Harvey - not so much.
I've thought about this kind of pairing for quite some time. And I'm not sure that I really see something wrong with it. Sure, it's a little despicable to be attracted to and commit to someone because of his money. But is she really worse that he is, because he (I assume) was initially attracted and committed to her because of her physical beauty?
Both are prioritizing fleeting, superficial aspects of the other. But don't we all do that to some degree? That's how I decide to talk to handsome men. And that's how other women decide to talk to rich men.
kelly, you raise some interesting points here. I guess a psychologist would say that attraction is about reproduction, thereby propagating the species. Apparently we women are attracted to 'charismatic home lovers' who will look after us during pregnancy and the early years of our children's lives. This would seem to explain both physical and financial attraction.
Personally I've always been attracted to intelligent bookish sensitive artistic men which generally equates to low income. I do remember having a couple of wealthy boyfriends many years ago but swiftly came to the conclusion that wealth and generosity rarely go together!
So what I say is good luck to them. As far as I know Debbee McGee is still married to her millionaire husband Paul Daniels, so who are we to comment?
Toby, I grew up in the Bay Area and went to school with Steve Wozniak's son. Steve is a genuinely sweet and nice guy who loved doing things for the school and my friends who were friends with his son ended up being good friends with Steve too. Some people do have other charms, even if one of them might be money.
I dunno, isn't Georgina Chapman reasonably accomplished? Marchesa seems to do well, and she seems like a smart, articulate person. At least judging from interviews. An initial attraction based on looks/money isn't so unusual, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they married for other, better reasons. But not his dress sense, clearly.

Clearly it was his handsomeness and good grooming.
That has got to be one of the most chilling photos that you've posted on this blog - up there with the one of Toothless Amy.
His pleasant, calm demeanor?

I'm not betting that's true with Harvey, though.
