Thought for the day

Clothes are never a frivolity: they always mean something, and that something is to a large extent outside the control of our conscious minds. James Laver

How we choose to create our appearance is a message that we are sending - partly conscious and partly unconscious.

Oh that is wonderful.

If dressing is to 'a large extent outside the control of our conscious minds' it makes the Thoughtful Dresser a bit of a contradiction.

I think the trick is embracing the pattern set by the whole mind (conscious and unconscious) and accepting intuitions about what to wear when without too much thought, but then paying conscious attention to the detail.
