"I saw the Bush lady ... I care for American politics because it affects the rest of the world so much, but I just don't really care for the Bush family," Stone said. "I'd actually met her before at the White House and it was like 'Hey how are you,' and then she was gone. I mean, to be fair, I guess she seemed like a nice enough chick, but I don't really know."

Laura Bush was a librarian before she got married - so that says it all for me, fashion wise.
As for Tim Gunn - I love him on Project Runway, but the man dresses like an economist. How can anyone take home seriously when it comes to fashion pronouncements?
Phyllis - with Laura Bush, you have to include the Botox - her face is permanently frozen. I still can't understand why she married Bush, though smarmy frat boys with money do seem to have attraction for many women. And I have the feeling that Tim Gunn dresses the way he does as a form of camouflage. I saw an interview he did with Jon Stewart the other night and he was wearing a really nice suit - subtle plaid, but plaid, nonetheless...
What amazes me is how nobody comments on how Michelle Obama dresses. Her choices are nothing like the typical US pol wife and are very refreshing and express a really interesting set of choices. I love that she has ditched the power suit.
Joss Stone's "thoughts," eh. It's nice when a poor man's Aretha can call the first lady a "chick."
My husband has been using Obama as an excuse to stop wearing ties to dressier events.
I got to admit, though, that it's a better look on them both.
