The Thoughtful Dresser decamps tomorrow first to Washington DC, then to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where I will be obliged to spend many hours in our villa, lying by the infinity edge pool and having delicious meals prepared by the chef. I will not be taking my laptop.
The collapse of Lehman Bros in September forced upon us this act of economic compassion. Personally, I would rather have stayed at home, but rental villas were lying empty, so what could we do? We must save the world economy.
See you in January.

Have a lovely time and make sure you order many margarita's to save the world economy - of course! LOL
Happy Holidays, Linda. I'm not sure what the Margarita Requirement is in Puerta Vallarta, but my friends who regularly visit Mexico tell me it's several per day. And don't forget your sunscreen!
Disgraceful!
Don't forget to wave when you pass Texas.
Thank you for your selfless act of charity, saving the worlds' economies one margarita at a time! Have a fabulous time!
y amigas...
¡Buen viaje! Selfless indeed not to take your laptop. I guess you are less addicted than I am.
Have a great holiday. It will also be a relief for you.
Linda - thank goodness for people such as you. Have a good time in DC - will you be there for the Inaugural? Please blog the clothes...
Have a lovely time, and some PV recommendations:
1. Red Cabbage restaurant - great food and visual homage to Frida Kahlo.
2. Head up to Nueva Vallarta and do the buffet at the Grand Velas.
3. Swim with dolphins at Nueva Vallarta.
4. Great spa at Paradise Village in Nueva Vallarta. They also have a big cat rescue and you can see lions, tigers, panthers up close.
Have a lovely time!!!
Ah, lovely. I know you'll have a blast. Please drink a margarita for me (not frozen, lots of salt).
The book finally arrived from TO, BTW!

What a good sport you are, Linda!
Happy New Year and all best wishes for 2009.
Oh well, someone's got to do it, Linda. It'll be hard but do try to enjoy yourself.
Have a great time and may 2009 be full of good things for you, including many gorgeous frocks.
Thanks for the N. American economic stimulus Linda! Enjoy the well deserved break. Happy all the holidays and 2009.
Wrap on a sarong and save the world!
Have fun! I wish I could be at the pool for Christmas.
And don't forget your umbrella -- we are having some very rainy weather here in DC at the moment.
Have a lovely trip!
Enjoy!
Puerta Vallarta is one of my favorite places...particularly when you have a private villa.
Enjoy...it has been a long year...
