Tomorrow I am going here for a week or maybe two to get on with writing another novel. As I no longer have clothes at the forefront of my attention, posts to the Thoughtful Dresser will become less frequent, I'm afraid, though I have managed to talk Harry into making a reappearance, and he says he has several ideas for posts lined up, including a Christmas purchase of a handbag, though not for himself (or me.)

ReplyDeleteI hope that like much of Cornwall, it has a warm microclimate. Looks like a lovely place to write a book, away from the bustle and demands of London, yet not too far away.
ReplyDeleteThe appalling attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team made me think of Harry and all your loved ones, and I'm glad Harry can think of "l'air du temps" and share his reflections with us. I always enjoy his posts.
Hooray, another Linda Grant book is in the making! I have just finished reading The Thoughtful Dresser which you signed for me a couple of weeks ago. Although I enjoyed it, I felt oddly 'down' at the end. Not because I had come to the of a book,(always sad), but because I had expected to feel uplifted. Still puzzling about that. I will lend it to my daughter and then compare notes. All the best with the new work, you have certainly chosen a beautiful place to write in.

ReplyDeleteAmongst your contributing blog followers appears to be a number of stylish, widely read and well informed women from various countries and continents. They could probably initiate discussion about local fashion, and the style of the midlife woman.
