    I think it is the face veiling, but to my mind the model looks more like a bank robber with a stocking pulled over her face.

    Perhaps it is also a reference to the ongoing controversy about the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, making statements favourable to certain aspects of sharia law for Muslims in the UK?
